Re: Take a ride in "Blackbird"
What transmission are you running...my speakers are super quiet, but it didn't sound like a dogbox...probably should try one if you're not running it now.

not to jump on the video, but thay doesn't really give you a good perspective of a 10 second car. maybe turn the camera forward and in daylight.

We've been on a Shep Stage 4 for almost 2 years. Since rebuilt by us about 4 times due to all different reasons. haha. A dog box may be in the cards in the near future. Expensive though. Friday night (the video) was the first time all year I've had gear issues. We're going to check our clutch dissengagment first before we blame the box.

Isn't there also a rule about no passengers under something like 13.99? haha. I'll make sure I wear MY jacket next time for ya. Call it...the perks of being at the track with the car just about EVERY weekend.

We will but those angles have been done a million times. The "night vision" wasn't going to work facing out the windshield and we ran out of daylight really quick.

You guys tell us.
Love us or hate us...We're long past worrying about people taking digs at us on the internet. It happens to every shop out there.

So you don't catch on fire if you go to the track almost every weekend? Cool!
It's been done millions of times because it looks better.

Wow this post lacks common sense. Hey smartypants - ever think the rules such as no passangers + safety jackets are you know, put in place for a reason? Use your head. Bragging that you're at the track every weekend and are above the rules put in place to keep everyone safe is purely idiotic.

Common sense? Like the common sense you used while cutting donuts in the BlockBuster parking lot, the 1 time I attended one of your meets this year? Speaking of that night...I remember meeting you and funny as it always is, you were a COMPLETELY different person to my face than the way you talk to me on the internet here. Weird how that is usually the case. hahahaha.
Whatever.
I just posted a vid for people to view. If you don't like the content...DON'T WATCH IT.
I have complete faith that if it wasn't about me not wearing a jacket...you guys would have come up with something else to flame about it.
I am flattered that you guys do care soooo much about my safety though.
Thanks.
For what it's worth...I asked for permission before I took a passenger.

Re: Take a ride in "Blackbird"
Isn't the real issue the fact that the track is allowing this rather then them taking advantage of this?
Every one here is all high and mighty on the internet, but I am 100% sure most of you would not wear a helmet, fire suit, roll cage or what ever else if you weren't forced to.

Re: Take a ride in "Blackbird"
^Game set and match.
So many people don't wear helmets and suits when they are required to do so.
I love it when people preach on about rules they don't even follow themselves, or drive like ass clowns on top of it.
Comments for the video - nice pass dude, that must be a fat turbo, tons of lag.. but she pulls hard when it hits boost
whats the setup?

Cutting donuts @ > 10 kmh in a deserted parking lot is nothing compared to 120mph + in the 1/4 mile. Also - Im not here trying to represent my own business by showing off how responsible I am in regards to safety standards and other's well-being.
In regards to the "to my face" comment - if you were bragging about how cool you were racing a 10 second car in a tshirt, i likely would have called you smarty pants there too.

The real issue here is how far a topic can run off track. Or how certain people will pick apart just about ANYTHING.

Hey, twist it anyway you want to make yourself feel better but I race at the track which is a "controlled environment". Wearing or not wearing a jacket while I race can only effect myself.
Donuts in a public parking lot with cars, people and all other factors involved...now that's "purely idiotic" as you would say.
Come to the lanes on a T&T night and have a look at how many people are NOT following every last little rule in the book and how the track let's it go.
Whatever...im done with where this thread has gone.
